How to submit Final Grades to the Registrar (Graduate School)
How to...
From within your course, go to the Control Panel >> Grade Center >> Full Grade Center.
--This will open the Grade Book and show the roster of all the students who are registered for the course.
--One of the columns in the Grade Book is called Final Grade. By default this column is hidden from students.
Enter your students' letter grades as you would like them to be sent to the Registrar.
When you are ready to release the grades to students, unhide the column by using the double-down chevrons to the right of the column name.
Grades are expected to be entered one week after the end of the semester.

Releasing after Evaluations
If you want to release grades only after a student submits a course evaluation, and you are using Blackboard for the course evaluation, here's a suggestion.
Add all of the grades to the Final Grade column so that the Registrar can see the grades.
Create an additional column called Final Course Grade. Make this column visible to students. As students complete the survey (you'll see a green checkmark when they do), key in the grade that you entered for them in the Final Grade column.
Problems
Sometimes we may have missed creating the Final Grade column, or you may have accidentally deleted it, or it is hidden from view.
Here are some tips.
If you don't see the column, it could be that it is hidden because it happens to be the last column in the table. This is a browser issue that is sporadic. If you click on the Manage button and select "Column Organization" you will see the full list of your gradebook columns. If "Final Grade" is there, but didn't appear in your gradebook, you can create an extra column (I usually call this "spacer") and then the column will appear. This is a known issue.
Or it could be that the column does not exist. You can contact us to create the column for you, or you can create it yourself. Just carefully follow the settings in the image below. Note the exact spelling of the Column Name, and the Display type ("text").
Lastly, if when you enter an "A" for a student's grade and Blackboard converts this to "95" this means that the primary display type is set to Letter. Change it to Text and it will display as you entered it.
