How to Make Your Test Available
1. Review the Test
Open your Blackboard course, and find your test by going to the area where you asked us to deploy it. Note that the test shows as "Item is not available."
Using the double-down chevron to the right of the Test title, choose Edit the Test. You will find a detailed list of all the questions, showing your question text, provided answers (if multiple choice), the correct answer, feedback, and point values.
If there are errors, you can fix them directly on this page in Blackboard.
If a question requires editing, use the action links to the right of the question title to bring up the drop down menu and select Edit. You can edit the text of the question, answers, feedback, change the images, change the correct answer, etc.
To change the point value of a question, do this from the Edit the Test area (to the right of each individual Question).
Make sure to also review the test as a student would by click on the name of the Test directly and selecting "Begin".
2. Verify your test settings and make it available
The Course Director is responsible to review the Test and release it to the students.
Go back to where your Test is deployed. Next to the test title, use the double-down chevron to select the option "Edit the Test Options" This will bring up the Test Options page.
Verify that the settings are as you requested. Check length of time, availability window, and display options. (Do not change these settings on your own. If there is an incorrect setting, send an E-mail to the Instructional Technology Group and the Office of Curriculum Support to request a change)
If all is as you expected, make the test available directly underneath the option labeled "Test Availability". Select Yes next to "Make the Link Available".
Click the Submit button.
Your test is now available to students.
